CONFERENCE
Major
disasters like terrorist attacks and mass epidemics are raising
compounding issues. In the area of cybersecurity, while intrusions
have been the common threat, social networking and mobile devices
are adding to worries. Moreover, as cloud computing continues to
grow, traditional security is becoming insufficient. On the health
front, the trade in counterfeit and unlicensed pharmaceuticals has
become one of the biggest cash generators.
Indeed, “Necessity may well be called the mother of invention, but
calamity is the test of integrity”. The key question here is “What
can an organization or community do to survive a major calamity and
avoid business disruption?”
The ultimate test of organizational integrity is resiliency.
Recognizing this, PROTECT 2012 will highlight information and tools
that everyone needs to know to enhance organizational resiliency
amidst new threats. Discussions will focus on two major tracks: the
strategic and the tactical paths.
